CTR measures how compelling your calls-to-action are. Whether it's a YouTube thumbnail, an email subject line, or a landing page button, CTR tells you if your message is resonating enough to drive action.

CTR benchmarks

  • YouTube thumbnails: 4-10% is good, 10%+ is excellent
  • Email open rates: 20-30% is average, 30-40% is good
  • Email click rates: 2-5% is average
  • Google search results: Position 1 gets ~27% CTR, position 10 gets ~2%
  • Social media links: 0.5-2% is typical
